This is Yaseen, my brother. This picture was taken the day that I got my first professional camera. My brother is usually a realistic person who rarely smiles, but this was one of those fleeting moments when my brother had seen something and his face lit up. I just couldn't resist taking this picture. I particularly found the light filtering through the curtains a remarkable touch to the story.

This photo was taken in downtown Toronto, and it was my sister's first real field trip with her class. As a student volunteer, I was in charge of taking care of the kids and supervising them, but I couldn't resist looking at the angle at which we were all lined up, and decided to take a picture. This picture symbolizes my contradicting spirit. On one hand, I want to be free like nature and flowing like the ocean, but on the other hand, I want to be sucessful in the world with social connections. You can see this divide between the ship's waters and the buildings right beside it.

My mom and her friends decided to go vacationing in the bahamas for her 40th birthday, and I was labeled the designated picture-taker. In many photos such as this one, I strive to find symmetry in the pictures I take. This is evident through the identical posts lined up along the sides of the photo, and the choice to place the girls directly in the middle of the photo. These styles of photos help to apeal to the logical side of the brain in terms of attractiveness.
